Managing Application Development for SharePoint 2010
By now you will have heard the line "SharePoint is a platform" enough to know that you can go and build some impressive solutions on top of it, but what's the best way to go about managing your custom development processes to ensure success? In this session Brian will take you through how good application life cycle management processes can be applied to SharePoint development projects, and how tools such as Team Foundation Server can assist in keeping projects and development teams on track to deliver great solutions. Topics covered will include automation of builds, managing deployments and upgrades, and how development methodologies such as scrum can work within a SharePoint project. If you are working within a team of SharePoint developers, are involved in release management or are leading development teams then this session is for you.

Out of the box - Almost
SharePoint comes with so much out-of-the-box it makes you wonder how they got it all in the box to begin with, and what they made the box out of.
The point is, there's a vast amount in there and too often we jump into serious development solutions when a small configuration or tweak would have done.
This session concentrates on some of the stuff that almost made it into the box, and how to easily squeeze it in there – between the springs and the bubblewrap.

This session will cover what you can and can’t do in sandboxed  environments such as Office 365 and premise sandboxed environments. It is focused on code topics not SharePoint designer !
Topics covered include how to build hybrid applications using the client object model and BCS web services, plus techniques that you can learn from the sandbox and apply to full trust development.
