​Get to the Point workshops are intensive half day sessions held on the day before and after the conference. These include Hands On Labs for practical learning. Led by experienced instructors these are additional training opportunities not to be missed!

You can register for any of the Get to the Point courses while completing your event registration, should you wish to attend the sessions without attending the event please email support@spevents.co.nz to register.

Visualising Data with Visio and SharePoint
 
Leverage the power of Visio to turn SharePoint data into diagrams. This course will cover the use of Visio 2010 to; Improve your process diagrams with new features, create data driven diagrams connecting to various sources, work with Shape Data and Data graphics to visualise data with diagrams.

Not quite a Power User, but not quite a Systems Admin or DBA? Are you an accidental SharePoint admin? Then maybe you need this mid-level Site Collection Admin course.
This course will start with a high level walk through of the SharePoint Architecture and Central Administration and then cover the different security options, user profile service and best practices for allowing connections to back-end systems.
We will also look at how to configure search to make information findable, implementing quotas, managing features for sites and site collections and monitoring SharePoint using analytics.

In this half day session we will build an InfoPath Form from scratch and we will explore the validation capabilities of InfoPath that can be used to create rich online electronic forms. These electronic forms can include a wide variety of field controls and validation rules to ensure that your forms provide the correct values to start your business processes.

​Getting Started with Business Intelligence

 

 

 
This course includes an introduction to SharePoint 2010 Insights, enabling Business Intelligence in SharePoint 2010 and the features of the Business Intelligence Centre.
We will explore the BI building blocks of visualising data using chart web parts, integrating your existing Reporting Services reports and monitoring performance with status indicator lists. We will also look at setting up Excel Services, creating interactive reports and getting started with PowerPivot in Excel 2010.
