Why SharePoint implementations fail
SharePoint  is being deployed widely across the globe. However, it is often observed that the end-user adoption is either short lived or completely missing. In some cases, few pockets of usage remain but the initiative dies down fairly quickly.
This leads to low ROI from MOSS investments and it definitely does not increase end-user teamwork productivity to the fullest potential.
This session discusses the common problems due to which users resist adopting SharePoint fully.
One of the problems is that SharePoint implementations are IT driven and controlled. Another reason is that the technical features of SharePoint are never converted to users in a palatable and attractive manner. Therefore, users simply don’t understand the potential benefits they can gain from effective SharePoint usage. This session will provide practical do’s and don’ts for ensuring maximum and proactive end-user-adoption.
This session focuses upon the end user viewpoint.
